Rose Cottage is very easy to find. If travelling west on the A66 from Penrith turn right at the only roundabout outside Keswick on to the A591. Follow this road which takes you on a scenic journey between Bassenthwaite Lake and the Skiddaw mountain range. The cottage is approximately three miles along the road sharing an entrance off the road with the Calvert Trust Outdoor Centre at Little Crosthwaite.
Public transport:
The closest train station to Rose Cottage is Penrith and a rural bus runs regularly to Keswick. There is a regular bus service from Keswick (to Workington) which stops directly outside the cottage (ask for the Calvert Trust stop).
